Europe Backpacking..Reasonable Itinerary

Europe Backpacking..Reasonable Itinerary?
I am heading to Europe for 6 weeks from 17 Aug 09 to 28 Sept 09 (6 weeks) and Im looking at the following itinerary. Fly into Madrid (3-4 days) Barcelona (3-4 days) I would like to hit morroco (either tangier or maybe make it to Fes (2-3 days) Then back to BCN and then to Paris Paris (4 days) Day trip to Normandy beach Amsterdam (3 days) Berlin (3 days) Prauge (3-4 days) Vienna (3 days) Venice (2 days) Rome (3 days) Athens (3-4 days) Total: 33 days, which leaves me about 10 days for trains and side trips. I found a flight from washington dc to madrid, then from athens to dc. for around $650. This is my first trip to europe....any suggestions would be great. thanks!

It all depends on what type of thing you like to do, but my suggestion is that you spend more time in Rome, there is just so much to do! I think you could do the main sights in paris in 2-3 days and there is not a whole lot to do in prague other than drink - so if you are not keen on that then spend less time there. Here are some suggestions of places that I loved that you have missed out: Barcelona Munich Florence Sarajevo Istanbul and also you might get a bit sick of the big cities, maybe some chill out places such as croatia in the middle of all that would be fun, or try a little village in romania like sighisoara. have fun!!
