Washington DC (DCA) Airport

Washington DC (DCA) Airport?
I fly out tomorrow, for my vacation, and I have a 2 hour lay over at DCA airport in washington DC. I was wondering if there is anything in walking distance that I can walk to and take pictures, but not miss my next flight..

At DCA, 2 hours wouldn't be enough time to go back through security. Otherwise, the airport is surrounded by suburban office towers.

For a 2 hour layover, I would not suggest leaving the airport. If you had a little longer than that though, there's a Metro subway station at the airport and you can be downtown on Capitol Hill within 15 minutes. Have fun!

I would suggest just staying in the terminal like the other answers have suggested if you only have two hours. They have many places to eat and you can watch the planes. However, if you have more time the closest option would be the Pentagon City Mall located at the Pentagon City metro stop (2 stops from the airport). If you end up with an extremely long layover you can take the metro into DC and site see, but if you only have 2 hours there is not really that much time.

Yeah, with airport security as it is, two hours won't get you back in time to catch your connection. Stay in the airport. Besides, right around National Airport is just high-rise offices. No fun. If you had a much longer layover, however, Metro's right there, and Old Town Alexandria is a short two stops south, and Pentagon City Mall is an even shorter two stops north.
